FMHS BASS TEAM

I understand that my participation with the FMHS Bass Team is a privilege, not a right, and my continuing membership comes with certain responsibilities, which are explained below.  I acknowledge that as a team member, I am expected to: 

 

• Stay enrolled as a member of the FMHS Bass Team on the TeamReach app.  (I understand that this is the primary means of real-time communication between the coach and the team).  Instructions for installation and use of the app are on the homepage.

• Check the team website (www.fmhsbassteam.com) at least once per week for updates.

​

• Maintain passing grades in each class.  I further understand the team will adhere to UIL Eligibility and the UIL academic calendar to determine my academic eligibility to participate in team events.

​

• Attend all scheduled team meetings.

​

• Participate in posted team community service projects.

​

• Participate in all Metro Division tournaments, and all THSBA post-season events for which I qualify.

​

• Participate in both the FMHS and LISD Championship Tournaments.

​

• Participate in the team fundraiser.

​

• Earn at least 1,200 AOY points per season to remain on the roster for the following season.

​

• Earn at least 2,000 AOY points this school year to earn a varsity letter which makes you eligible to purchase a FMHS Letterman's Jacket.

• Wear my official FMHS Bass Team jersey and FMHS Bass Team hat while participating in any activity representing the team.  Furthermore, I am expected to wear my jersey at school on the last day of any school week immediately preceding a team event.  (Rookies may substitute a FMHS Bass Team Tee-shirt while waiting for the jersey to arrive.)

• Be a good ambassador for my family, FMHS, the FMHS Bass Team, and myself.

FAILURE  TO MEET THESE RESPONSIBILITIES MAY RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE BY THE FMHS BASS TEAM FACULTY ADVISOR.  THIS MAY INCLUDE SUSPENSION OR REMOVAL FROM THE TEAM.
